Faced with the decision to continue using their current analog phone system or implementing an IP Communications (telephony) system,
Uniontown Area S.D. consulted with the Cisco IP Communications Certified team at CCL Technologies. Based on CCL Technologies
recommendation, the district applied for Erate funding to implement an IP Communications solution.
Successfully receiving Erate funding, Uniontown Area S.D. continued working with CCL Technologies to successfully design, implement,
and maintain their IP Communications solution.
PROJECT DETAILS
After assessing the needs of Uniontown School District, CCL Technologies recommended an IP Communication solution consisting of two
Cisco Call Manager servers. This dual server solution provides the District with redundancy and is capable of distributing the call loads
effectively.
- Implemented a dual Call Manager server solution
- Implemented a Cisco 1760V Gateway which connects to the PSTN via 8 FXO ports
- Configured Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) which provides redundancy in case of a network disaster. (9-1-1 emergency service)
- Configured Cisco IP Phone models; 7912G, 7940 and Cisco Softphones
- Successfully laid groundwork for additional IP Communications throughout district.
CCL Technologies maintains Uniontown Area S.D.’s IP Communication solution with a 5 Star Service Contract.
